If I were making at list like this, the first word on it would be moot. I hate that word passionately. It sounds like someone passing gas and it’s not aesthetically pleasing on the page.
What would be on your list?
While so many of these I absolutely loathe (zeitgeist, I’m looking at you) it still boasts quite a few words I use way too much, some out of laziness and some because I really just love them.
Any list I had would definitely have to include “lover,” “preggers,” and almost all portmanteaus created in the last 5 years. I mean, “staycation?” Really?
